Graphic Design

I don’t just draw. I’ve made many designs that are printed and used as real promotional material. From logos, to book covers, to posters, and social media images. I’ve developed materials that were actually used.

The Sucarnochee Review

These are three editions of ‘The Sucarnochee Review’ that I worked on! I did the cover art, but I also typeset the entirety of the books in Adobe InDesign. I worked as the Design and Production Editor for three years.

Other Book Covers I've Designed

… just the covers. I didn’t typeset these ones.

Posters I've Designed

I don’t just work on books, I’ve also designed different pieces of promotional material. Posters are what I do the most of, but I’ve also made social media graphics, bookmarks, flyers, and business cards. Here are some of my favorite posters I made. All of them went to print, too!

Other Promotional Materials

This is a business card I made to promote scholarship opportunities for UWA Choir and Theatre. These have been printed out and used at events by professors to garner interest in the programs.

These are a few social media graphics I made. Some accompany some of the posters above, and some are stand alone.

Screen Printing

While all of the posters and business cards I’ve made were printed digitally by someone else, I think one of the coolest things is printing my pieces with silk screens. I haven’t made any posters using silk screen, but I’ve made all kinds of shirts and bags.

One of my favorite things I’ve done is the ‘Double Takes’ design. The solid color design in the middle of the poster was intentional. We ended up using that design to print all of the cast members and stage workers a bag. I do mean ‘we’ by the way. The university I was at at the time had a silk screen press. I got to physically make the bags I designed.

Here’s the design from initial concept to final print!
